Meet the team: Racin’ Jason — Australian contributor

Racin’ Jason came onto the UK classic Ford scene when he rocked up with the missus in a flatfront, big-arch Mk2 Escort at our Classic Ford Tour of 2002.

Hailing from Adelaide, South Australia, RJ did a three-year tour of duty in the UK, living up north in Dundee, Scotland.

His career with blue ovals started back in the early ’90s with an Aussie Rally Pack Mk2 Escort, and now has over 40 Fords under his belt. This guy will change cars at an alarming rate, and a new project is always just around the corner. Trained as a mechanic, Jason can be found most weekends with a spanner in hand belting something automotive into submission.

Away from the workshop, RJ works as a motorsport commentator, calling the Australian Drift Series as well as Australia’s biggest car show — Summernats. With contacts across the country, Jason is relentless in his search for feature cars, finding some of the most amazing classic Ford rides ever seen featured.

Despite what you may have heard, there is no truth to the rumor he was going to call his boy Corey and his daughter Tina. He swears it was just a suggestion!
