I was born on a Friday night, and not a moment too soon according to my mum, as my dad then legged it back to the archway in Lambeth where he kept his racecar and loaded it up for a race meeting in Crystal Palace the following morning. Leaving Lambeth in a Type 3 Volkswagen a few years later, I spent my formative years in Volvo, MG, Saab, Renault, Vauxhall, Rover and even Reliant products.

Point is nobody ever influenced me to buy a classic Ford, I found them, fell in love and have been lusting over them ever since. I’ve owned a mess of random models from Transits to Capris via Cortinas, but never an Escort. 2010 sees my tenth anniversary of working for Classic Ford, the power of choice, eh?
