Lotus Cortina ‘Model’ To Be Auctioned

The car that provided inspiration for a Corgi Classic model goes under the hammer at Barons’ British Heritage Sale next month.

KUU 333D, which will be auctioned at Barons’ British Heritage sale at Sandown Park on September 7, has been given an estimate of £35,000-£40,000.

The legendary Cortina was one of the most popular cars when Corgi launched its Corgi Classic range of nostalgia cars, vans and trucks in the late ’80s.

The auctioning of KUU 333D offers collectors a chance to acquire their own full-size, real life ‘model’ car – and it is offered complete with a boxed miniature replica of itself.
