Classic car insurance specialist, Admiral has been looking at the date from some 10,000 classic car owners — with some surprising results.
While the majority of classic car owners might still be middle-aged men, new research by Admiral reveals a quarter of classics are now owned by women. It also found the people most likely to have a classic car are those in creative jobs, with animators, tattooists and lighting directors all in the top 10 occupations.
So where in the UK do classic car owners live? Admiral found the postcode areas with the highest number of owners were all in London and the South East. Kennington in south London had the most, followed by Braintree in Essex and Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire. Go figure!
“We’ve been offering tailored classic car cover since 2011. We thought it would be interesting to dig a bit deeper to see what types of people are driving them,” said Admiral’s Justin Beddows. Admiral is the official sponsor of the 2016 Classic Ford Show. To find out more about its classic car insurance policies or for a quote, go to admiral.com/classic-car-insurance.
