How to get a BOA/BOB V6 into the Mk1, Mk2 or Mk3 to create your own Capri Cosworth in 10 steps.
The Capri has a whopping engine bay that will swallow almost anything whole. But one of the most natural engine swaps is to replace the Cologne V6 with the Cosworth version complete with overhead cam alloy heads — a simply gorgeous-looking engine that has plenty of horsepower and looks right, too. What’s more, it’s a very straightforward conversion — plenty of standard stuff to collect means it’ll virtually bolt in, while adaption parts to make life easier are available too — and the range is steadily increasing.
As usual, there’s more than one way to do the job, depending on how complicated a life you want but the end result’s full of promise — 200 bhp potential and an excellent soundtrack.
