Make plans for next year’s Spring break – head off to northern France for a long weekend with us on the Classic Ford Tour 2019.
Winter? Meh. We’re looking past that and towards next Spring where we’ll be heading to the roads and beaches of northern France for the Classic Ford Tour 2019.
Next year is the 75th anniversary of the D-Day Landings — a pivotal moment in World War 2, and you can enjoy what should be a memorable four-day Classic Ford break to Normandy’s dramatic coastline over the long weekend of May 24-27, including the evocative landing beaches, and the Atlantikwall — one of the last major defence lines of this century.
The Normandy coastline is dotted with museums and memorials, which commemorate the soldiers of all nationalities that lost their lives. These include The Grand Bunker Museum, Merville Battery Museum and Centre Juno Beach to mention just a few. But it’s not just about history, Normandy is covered in great roads, too — just the job for exploring the area in your classic Ford.
The tour costs £299 per person and includes return ferry crossings from Dover to Calais (other crossings are available), three nights hotel accommodation with breakfast included, the now-legendary welcome Classic Ford dinner on the first night, a detailed Road Book featuring maps, WW2 Landing Beaches and museum information, and not forgetting the all-important commemorative Classic Ford Tour Rally Plate.
